Food Preservation

Holly Berry of Marion County Extension Service is providing eight weeks of free food-preservation classes at the Friends of Salem Saturday Market booth. Here is the schedule, with the handouts available for download:
 
July 18: Freezing fruits & making jams/jellies  Materials
July 25: Canning fruits  Materials
August 1: Dehydrating foods  Materials
August 8: Freezing vegetables 
August 15: Canning vegetables
August 29th: Pickling  Materials
Sept. 5: Chutneys Materials
Sept. 12: Salsa Materials
